Tilda
Meeting Room Tilda is an intimate and peaceful meeting space in Turku, located on the basement level of Hotel Kakola’s main building. The room is suitable for meetings, workshops, and small group sessions of up to 12 people, where focus and an undisturbed working environment are key.
Tilda is named after Mathilda Wrede, a world-renowned friend of prisoners and a pioneer of diaconal work who dedicated her entire life to supporting inmates and defending human dignity. Mathilda Wrede visited Kakola frequently in the late 19th century and is famously known for having inspired remorse even in the notorious criminal Matti Haapoja. Her legacy brings depth, quiet strength, and meaning to the space.
Meeting Room Tilda offers clear and functional surroundings for efficient work. Its secluded location makes it an ideal choice when you are looking for a small but impactful meeting room in Turku, where history and focused collaboration come together.
Tilda is part of the former Turku County Prison – today’s Hotel Kakola – and its unique story turns a meeting into something more than just an appointment.
